Microblading can realistically replicate hair strands on the scalp and especially the hairline area, concealing areas where hair has thinned. For most people, the areas where microblading is most effective are the temples, a hair part that has started to bald, or the entire hairline from ear-to-ear.

Scalp Pigmentation is a process when your scalp is tattooed with ink to give the illusion of stubble hair. This is a method sometimes preferred by bald men who are seeking an alternative to hair transplant surgery. When performed correctly, this can be a great procedure to give the appearance of small stubble hair on bald areas of the scalp where hair no longer grows.

  • 2nd -10th DAYS: After the first day, you can begin applying a thin layer of healing ointment 2 times in a day (morning and evening) for 10 days until scabs start to fall off.
  • Each time wash hands before and after application and use a clean cotton to avoid infection. If a crust appears on the pigmented surface do not force the removal by picking, scratching or washing! The pigment may be removed along with the crust!
  • Use a gentle face cleanser but avoid the treatment areas.
  • Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas
  • Slight redness, itching, swelling, and scabbing are normal.
  • Avoid for 10 days: avoid rubbing your brows, Soaps; Facial cleansers; exfoliating the skin, direct sun exposure, exercise, saunas, swimming, hot tubs, foundation near the brow area and/or brow pencil application, facial treatments, lash extensions, even spicy foods. These things could all cause irritation and loss of pigment, as well as slow down healing.

Healing process

The result of the treatment is determined by the following: medication, skin characteristics (dry, oily, thick or thin skin type), Personal pH balance of your skin, post procedure aftercare. Upon completion of the procedure, there may be swelling and redness of the skin, which will subside within 1-4 days depending organism. Immediately after the procedure, the enhancement can be 30 to 50% darker than the desired result and it can take between 4-10 days to lighten. The true colour will be visible 1 month after each application, and the colour may vary according to skin tones, skin type, age and skin conditions. Some skins accept colour more readily than others and no guarantee of an exact effect or colour can be given.

It is very important to wipe the pigmented area with sterile water, cotton pad and then apply a thin layer of ointment on the first day if the lymph appears. The reason is to remove the lymph otherwise your eyebrows will be covered with big scabs. If the client follows the aftercare, she/he will get small scabs – a thin layer of crust that will be peeling of itself. It is very important not to scratch eyebrows  (client can feel itching) as you can easily lose the pigment together with scratching. If this happens, mostly there is no pigment left and skin can be white or even reddish because of irritation. The irritation will disappear within a few days. Sometimes the client can see redness the same day after the treatment. This is also normal and it disappears in the next few days.

The healing process is quite tedious, but the results really do look great. And the benefits go beyond saving you time on your morning routine for the next 12 to 36 months. Your brows won't come off in the pool or at the gym And it looks way better than when you draw them on.

Touch up

Included in the price is a touch-up within four to six weeks after your first appointment because 40 percent of the pigment that's been infused into the skin will fade, so the technician needs to go back in and reinfuse.

The touch up is recommended no earlier than 30 days. Usually, we recommend to come for touchup up from four to six weeks. During the touch up, the client can add more strokes (some can disappear during healing), choose warmer/darker colour, correct the shape.

What's it like?

Before microblading or shading, your brows will need to be measured, and your technician will determine a size, width, and depth that's best suited for your face shape. The brow mapping should take longer than the microblading itself—it is a crucial step to ensuring the best results.

Normally the technician will apply a numbing cream for at least 30 minutes to minimize discomfort, since the session can take up to three hours from start to finish.

How does microblading even work?

With microblading, the technician uses extremely small blades to make tiny, hairlike incisions right above the dermis layer of the skin while depositing pigment directly into those incisions. As a result, your brows will naturally fade over time and require touch-ups. Because microblading is a semipermanent procedure, your brows will last anywhere from one to three years. This is unlike what happens with a tattoo artist, who injects ink below the dermis, making the results hella permanent.

To create the desired look, a technician manually punctures and penetrates the skin with the pigment color that best suits the client's natural brow tone to give the illusion of fuller, darker, and groomed brows.

Does microblading leave scars?

Each permanent makeup technique can be done in a very wrong way as everything depends on knowledge, practice, products. The technician has to be properly trained about skin types, deepness, contraindications and many factors. Not all skin types can be microbladed. In case technician microblades oily or problematic skin, healed results will look blurred.

Can I get Ombre brows over old permanent makeup?

Yes you can if the old permanent makeup is faded. If not, the technician can try to correct over but probably she/ he will widen the shape if it is possible. If the old permanent makeup has strong beginnings, then it is not possible to create Microshading/Ombre brows effect.

Is it painful?

Yes, the client can feel discomfort but we numb. Everything depends on the deepness the technician works, pain tolerance, numbing strength. There are two types of numbing – primary and secondary. We always recommend not to use primary anesthesia as the retention of color is better and the skin is not so tough, slippery so it is much easier to do the first pass of treatment without numbing. The first pass duration is about 4-5 minutes, after that, we always use secondary anesthesia. So the clients can decide if he/she can handle the pain during the first pass (usually the scale of pain is 5-6). If yes, then we use only secondary numbing. If not, then we use both and client almost doesn’t feel anything.

What tools and products are used for treatment?

Disposable or autoclave tool or machine with single use needle, certified permanent makeup pigments, soothing solution, sterile cotton pads, ruler for measuring, sterile disposable pigments ring, special pencil for permanent makeup, sterile marker, sterile water and some other equipment to make sure the treatment is done hygienically.

What is the duration of the treatment?

How long does it take for your brows to heal?
